Marshall leaves for Alaska

Summer is half way gone and the weather has been beautiful lately, despite the mosquitos. Marshall left for Alaska with Grandma last week. He will gone for a month. The fair was fun, although not as many children participated as usual. Whitney and Jessica brought their horses and Mallori and Kaylee stayed with them to help for four days. We decided because of the new kids, we would not overwhelm ourselves with a bunch of projects for the fair and would wait till next year. Isaiah brought Oscar, and won a Reserve Champion ribbon. Whitney brought an oil painting of her horse and won Grand Champion. She also won Grand Champion with the same horse, "Cowboy" in Western Pleasure. So, we will think about taking a state fair trip to Minneapolis this fall, since she has never attended before. Jessica did a nice collage with several digital photos she took of some of our children and some friends' children. Kaylee brought a drawing, and was sad she couldn't bring her horse. She just had a baby and wasn't in the best condition, but she will be ready to show in August at our Pintabian show. You can see Marshall is having the time of his life with Grandma and Bob.
